Young Scientists (3-6): Daily experiments and take-home project, exploring the human body and our senses and the universe will keep preschoolers busy. Photography & Fiber Arts (6-12): Participants will explore local nature areas with cameras and learn digital editing. Those interested in fiber arts will also learn to knit, crochet and weave. Participants will need to bring their own camera. Canyon Creek is just about an hour’s drive outside LA and I’m really glad we took our kids. They learned a lot about several different sports and seemed to be really excited when we picked them up. It is near a large lake and is a beautiful area. The camp was huge and had many sporting facilities. All of the equipment seemed to be new and the camp counselors were great with the kids. An idea that has been burning in our brains for a few years will finally spill into the steep, hilly forests of West Virginia this August. Save the date, we'll be taking over the insane Roseland Resort for a weekend bonanza of pool parties, camp fires, club ragers and weirdo sunrise woodland excursions together. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW FOR NOW: - Roseland has a 20 year tradition of being a clothing optional, men-only resort. We must respect the rules of the space and adhere to this for the 2015 edition. 2nd Annual Fox Camp Youth Hunt - undefined, MS
Hosted by Jeremy and Joni McLarty. Saturday, November 5th. Eat at 12:00, draw for hunting spots at 1:30, hunt at 2:30 until dark (exact stopping time will be announced on day of hunt). All people who attend Beulah Church are invited to come eat and attend event, and any non-hunters are invited to hang out at the cabin during hunt. Open to any kids between the ages of 5 and 11 years-old who attend Beulah Church. All entries must have an adult who is over the age of 21 to accompany them on their hunt. All entries and accompanying adults must sign a release form on day of hunt. Limit one buck and one doe per kid. The hunt will be held at Jumper Lake this year, only a few miles from the church. Each participant is asked to bring their own ATV or 4-wheel drive truck if possible, if not then please let hosts know ahead of time so we can try to make arrangements for you. The total is $325 (includes EVERYTHING except for any extra money you'd like to bring for the day trip into Avalon). This year we are asking you for a $20 DEPOSIT BY FEBRUARY 8TH!!! We need you to get in an early deposit so we know how many spots to reserve for our church. By popular demand, Stanford University Sports Medicine will be opening its doors again to expose its unique methods of medical care for the nations most elite athletes. The programs expert level clinicians will provide hands-on instruction of topics from the very basics of sports medicine care to the integration of cutting edge approaches to injury prevention, rehabilitation, and athletic performance. The program includes: Anatomy and Musculoskeletal Injury Emergency Preparedness Injury and Illness Prevention Movement and Performance Located in the heart of the Silicon Valley, see firsthand how advanced technologies positively impact injury recovery and training. Recommended for high school students interested in sports medicine or a career in athletic training. Specifically for those with no experience in Sports Medicine and students who have not taken a sports medicine class.
