LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Climbing Camp - Intermediate - Breckenridge Recreation Center
So youre a veteran of Beginner Climbing Camp and you want to learn more about the technical side of climbing? This camp is just for you! Learn new skills including rappelling, advanced climbing techniques, and much more! As always, on Fridays we will be climbing outdoors, returning to the Recreation Center by 1:00pm. No camp on Wednesdays. Four-day camps are offered in three sessions running June 13-August 12. To register for this program, participants must have attended a Beginners Climbing Camp within the past 3 years or must receive approval from a Climbing Wall Instructor or the Outdoor Programs Coordinator. For questions, please call the Outdoor Programs Coordinator at 970-547-4324. Upon successful completion, climbers may move to the Advanced Climbing Camp. Suggested personal equipment for outdoor climbing day: Comfortable shoes for approach, water bottle, snack, wind/rain jacket, extra layers, sunscreen/lip balm, hat and camera. Emergency action plans are in place, reviewed with staff and practiced to ensure that campers are safe. These plans focus on everything from weather and health issues to missing camper or medical emergencies. All staff members, regardless of their role, are trained in these procedures to ensure everyone is on the same page.

Lexington Family Magazine Summer Camps & Activities Fair - Lexington,
Visit booths representing camps, afterschool activities, birthday party venues, health care professionals, schools and more at our 14th Annual Fair. The Fair will be held at Lexington Christian Academy at 450 W. Reynolds Rd. just across the street from Meijer and behind Fayette Mall. We fill both of the gyms at the school. Each booth will have a fun activity for kids while Mom and Dad chat with the professionals. You'll find giant inflatables, face painting, costumed characters, games and giveaways. While you are there you can enter your kids in our Cover Model Contest. Professional photographer Lucy Chesnut, of Glitter and Sawdust Studios, will take photos of all their smiling faces and we'll use those pictures to choose winners who will appear on the covers of Lexington Family Magazine in the next year. We'll also have performances all day long from some of the most talented kids in the bluegrass including dancers, martial artists, gymnasts and more. Best of all? IT'S FREE! Body Contact & Checking Camp - LC Ice Arena
Body Contact/Checking Clinic - Bantam, Midget boys Bantam, & Midget - $350 RMHS is coming to Lewiston for a Checking/Body Contact camp for Bantam, Midgets. The players will be separated into groups by age and skill level. This will ensure the players will be training against players of their skill level for the best possible training environment. During this clinic we will focus on proper body contact along the wall and in the open ice. The RMHS staff will focus on proper body positioning for both giving and receiving body contact. These skills are important to learn for the players where body contact is legal and for the non checking leagues. ATTENTION GOALTENDERS - Every RMHS camp will offer professional goaltending instruction from one of our professional goaltending coaches. We limit theses spots to four goaltenders per group. Advanced Debate Camp reviews the fundamentals of competitive academic debate while deepening your understanding of argument theory, critical thinking, research and speech skills. This topic will take us through science, literature, math, geography, and art with exciting hands-on projects as we explore the interesting and sometimes unusual world of frogs. The Georgia Bulldog Tennis Camp will provide instruction for every level of play. For the beginner, basic fundamentals and stroke production will be emphasized. For the intermediate players, refinement of the fundamentals--footwork, grips, strokes and strategy will be stressed. The advanced players will be trained at the same intensity level that we train our Bulldog college players. Along with match play and conditioning, the emphasis is concentrated in challenging the campers regardless of their level of play. Camps are open to any/all entrants (limited only by number and age, grade level, and/or gender).
