Lets Put On a Show! (Reworked for 2016!) Monday-Thursdays, July 18-28, 9:00am-12:00pm NOTE: Extended days -- July 27 and 28 9:00am-4:00pm (Dress Rehearsals) Performance -- July 28, 4:00pm Bernardsville Middle School Cafeteria Stage Dream big and be a part of this camp experience offered by Music in the Somerset Hills! Lets Put On a Show! is designed to help young, aspiring singers and actors learn new skills for the musical theater stage. During the program, you will spend time learning how to create a character through your singing and acting, develop your songs into a story, and dance with fresh choreography designed specifically for you! Led by Jennifer Foose (Director of Musicals and Vocal Music at Cedar Grove High School), you will perform the best age-appropriate repertoire and learn how to choose songs that best suit your unique voice and needs. Each day will be spent on individual and group work, and the week-long session will culminate with a showcase performance on the final day which will include some of the scenes and songs learned throughout the program. Growing Scientists: DaVinci Discovery What do painting, engineering, sculpting, music and math all have in common? They are all part of a new camp theme, integrating science and art, for the inventive imaginations of your child. Taking CuriOdysseys observational approach to science, campers will engineer with shapes, document patterns in nature, and find symmetry all around them. Campers will do as DaVinci did hundreds of years ago and explore their curiosity and stretch their creativity. F.I.E.R.C.E Basketball is a youth organization designed to assist in the wholesome development of young athletes both on and off the court. This program will serve as an extension of the classroom implementing the importance of being a student first and an athlete second. Our goal is to commit to the lives of young people by promoting leadership and commitment while fostering an enviornment that embraces pro-social relationships and interpersonal skills. July 13 – 17 Summer Sing 2.0 For boys and girls entering grades 5 – 8 An all-day experience, 8:30am – 4:30pm that is filled with music, singing, and electives. Improve your singing voice with group lessons and one on one coaching from the Artistic Director. Electives like guitar, recorder, musical crafts, choreography, and drama will be offered as well as our Afternoon Specials. Theme for the week, Musicals with Class.
