Campers will learn about the Science of Robotics with historical information, discoveries and advances in robot technology. Newtons Laws will be emphasized all week and each camper will receive three robot kits to work on. Campers will be able to take home their remote controlled robots! This year, Terrific Scientific will be featuring our Robotic Arm Edge kit and our 7 in 1 Solar Robot kit. In addition to these projects, campers will be learning how to solder with our blinky robot project. Cheer Tumbling Camp - Fargo, ND
TNT Kid’s Fitness and Gymnastics invites you to participate in our Cheer and Dance Tumbling Camp on Saturday, March 5, 2016. We will be teaching the basics through advanced tumbling. Every athlete gets the opportunity for 1 on 1 coaching and spotting. Running skills and standing skills will be taught in our state of the art gym equipped with trampolines, spring floors, mats, and a foam pit. This is a great camp to get that new tumbling pass or work on something new with a spotter! Bring your whole team and learn some new group tumbling to put in your routines. We will have spotters for athletes as young as 5 years old to collegiate. Collegiate athletes must provide proof of NCAA insurance coverage. There will be healthy concessions, bows, and T-shirts available for purchase. We will be hosting two sessions on Saturday, March 5th: 12:00pm -4:00pm: $40 per athlete 4:00pm- 8:00pm: $40 per athlete You can attend both sessions or choose just one. Each session includes groups divided by skill level and coached by a professional gymnastics tumbling coach. Beginner: Learning basic shapes for hand stands, cartwheels, Round-offs and front and back walkovers....

Let's get our Oakland youth to Camp Common Ground Oakland! - Oakland,
Thank you so much for supporting Camp Common Ground's effort to get our youth leaders in Oakland to camp! Your attendance and participation at the launch of our second fundraiser will be imperative to ensuring that our youth from diverse racial and economic backgrounds can stand together this summer to break down barriers that exist between their communities. Come hungry and ready to drink, and don't forget your laptops, smartphones, tablets, etc. that we will use to get the word out about the fundraiser to all of our networks! What's the impact we will make in one day? The fundraiser will last for the entire month of March. During last month's fundraiser, Camp Common Ground supporters exceeded the fundraising goal of $4800. The $5400 raised will bring 4 Oakland youth to camp. During this fundraiser, we will raise $13,200, which will bring 16 more Oakland youth to camp--6 more on full scholarships and 10 on partial scholarships. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Textiles for Teens- Cycle 3: TUESDAY - Brooklyn Studio
INSTRUCTOR: CALLEN ZIMMERMAN Textiles for Teens is a gallery-based program at the Brooklyn location of the Textile Arts Center. This hands-on class explores students personal artistic interests right in the midst of our Artist in Residence studios, and will provide full access to our dye lab, screen printing facilities, sewing machines, looms, & more. Students will be able to draw inspiration from the eight resident artists and designers evolving work in fine arts, fashion design, and home textiles, and gain insight into the endless possibilities within the world of textiles. Transition to 7th Grade-PM Session - St. Agnes Academy-St. Dominic School

Advanced Robotics with LEGO EV3-Gayton Baptist - Gayton Baptist Church
Using LEGOs New EV3 Space Challenge Set and Activity Pack, campers are introduced to robotics with a very current and real-world theme, traveling to and living on Mars! Campers will work as scientists and engineers as they progress through a set of lessons, challenges, and projects that fully integrate science, technology, engineering, and math concepts, while prompting creative problem solving, communication, and teamwork. Campers will learn the basics of gears to help them apply physical science and math principles to build effective robots. They will also progress through a series of missions in which they investigate, observe, calculate, and apply their knowledge to solve specific tasks.
