Not all camps are co-ed. There are some single-gender camps available in addition to traditional co-ed programs.
Single-gender camps are great if parents want their children to focus on empowerment and independence. Many youth today are distracted by the other gender, and this is a chance to give kids a break so that they learn how to be friends with their peers. Many of these programs work with nearby groups so that the campers can get off camp and interact with a variety of people.

We will explore the arboretum, campus and downtown locations for nature, art and culture inspired writing. Starting at 6pm Dale Potter-Clark will discuss the process and research that led to the writing of "The Founders and Evolution of Summer Resorts and Kids' Camps on Four Lakes in Central Maine". There will be time for Q&A followed by book signings. Books will be available for sale following the talk.

As everyone gears up for school to start back, we're glad to announce our first Kids Night Out on September 9th - a Lego night! Cost is $15 a child (multi-child discounts available), which includes the cost of dinner. Come join us for a night including Gaga Ball, Legos, and a Bible Study! Open to campers K5-6th Grade. American Red Cross Lifeguards and Water Safety Instructors will lead participants through two water sessions per day which will include group swimming lessons as well as introductions to other Aquatic Sports.
