LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Summer Strength and Speed Training Girls - 9th-12th grades - Wichita Collegiate School
Instructor: Black All classes will be taught in the state of the art Lattner Center located on the west side of the Upper School. Some sessions will take place on the turf or track at Spartan Stadium located just to the east of the Beren Middle School. The summer staff of Troy Black, Mike Gehrer, Destiny Clark, Cam Clark, and other staff as needed have many years of proven experience and knowledge. The curriculum and techniques like the training center are state of the art and are presented in a positive uplifting environment. Each session has a curriculum molded to the skill sets and abilities of the students. Strength and Speed - For the 6th year, we will be offering a class that is designed for the female athlete. Female athletes need to work on their strength and speed just like the males. The focus of the program will be on developing overall body strength, learning proper lifting technique, improved jumping ability, agility, speed improvement, and core strength. A variety of exercises and drills will be used over the 8-week program. The participants age, experience, and limitations will be used when designing the participants workouts. PTHC Kid's Camp-Volunteers Urgently Needed! - Philadelphia, PA
On June 4th, 5th, and 6th, the Philadelphia Convention Center will be host to the annual Philadelphia Trans-Health Conference, the country's largest gathering of transgendered individuals, families, allies, and caregivers. Part of the festivities is the Kid's Camp, where we endeavor to provide safe, affirming, and awesomely fun activities to the children attending the camp. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, we are low on volunteers on Friday afternoon and evening and all day Saturday. If you are available any portion of the day Friday from noon to 7 p.m. or Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and can supply a valid child abuse clearance (within the last 2 years), please message me. I volunteered at the Kid's Camp of PTHC last year, and it was a truly amazing experience! I hope you'll consider joining us! Please also consider sharing this message!

Field Hockey Day Camp Session #1 - Vonnie Gros Athletic Field
The WCU Field Hockey Day Camp is designed for the development of the field hockey athlete from advanced level to beginners. All campers will have individual skill instruction with play-ers of similar ability and experience. Topics that will be covered: individual/group instruction, offensive/defensive strategies, specialized goal-keeper instruction, as well as competitive game experiences in a positive learning environment. EQUIPMENT Each camper should bring a stick, shinguards, sneakers or turf shoes, mouthguard, bath-ing suit, sunscreen, and a con-tainer of water (no glass). WCU and its camp staff are not re-sponsible for lost or missing items. All personal equipment should be marked with the campers name. Dunham Woods Farm is a top-notch equestrian facility dedicated to providing the best instruction available for over 50 years. Our teachings are based on tradition and looking to the future. You?ll learn all about the proper ways to groom, tack and handle horses. In the saddle you will learn the basics of riding at the walk and trot. You?ll learn tons of cool information about breeds, colors, markings of horses and more! Games and other activities will be included as well. Riders should wear jeans or Jodhpur pants and hard soled riding or hiking boots with a small, low heel. Bring an approved riding helmet or bicycle helmet and a sack lunch!
