What is a good camp option for a 13 year old interested in math and science?
A specialized science camp is a great option for a 13 year old boy. While there are some specialty camps that offer a day camp program, a 13 year old is going to have a better experience at a residential camp. Science camps offer such great activities as robotics workshops, science fairs, chess tournaments and instruction in physics and astronomy. Foothills Day Camp - Session 3 - Community Services Department - City of Palo Alto
Celebrating 57 years of creating lifelong friends, long lasting memories, and a deep respect and love for nature, Foothills Day Camp is back for another incredible summer in the great outdoors. Each session includes pre and post camp, which means campers can be dropped off anytime between 7:30am-8:45am, and picked up anytime between 4-6pm (drop-off and pickup location is at the Girl Scout House). Additionally, campers will spend the second Thursday of each session sleeping under a blanket of stars at Camp Towle for the ultimate campout experience. Night activities include a delicious BBQ, animated storytelling around the campfire, a thrilling night hike, and more.
