Our goal is to refresh your children spiritually as well as socially before returning back to school. This will be a great opportunity for all of us to get connected and stay connected for years to come. Promised Land Ministries is a Christian based organization that holds retreats for an array of different ministries including youth. We have joined together with them to create an eventful, fun-filled experience for August. The Full-Day Newcomer Camp is for those who want to spend a full-day with the Stanford Coaching Staff and college players learning the game of golf! The philosophy of the Newcomer Golf Camp is to introduce the game of golf to juniors aged between 5 and 12 with either no experience or a couple of years of instruction. Campers will learn the fundamentals of the game in a safe, fun and stimulating environment. Instruction will be given at a pace intended to maintain the attention of campers and at the same time be appropriate for each individuals skill level. Active and energetic instructors will lead the youngsters through a series of games and exercises that will develop confidence and passion for the game. Groups will be organized by current skill level. The camp environment is designed to allow participants to meet other young golfers and help foster an enthusiasm and passion for the game. The Rush (USASF Levels 1 ) are our Tiny team, consisting of minature athletes ages 6 and younger. This team gives the little ones a chance to get out in front of a crowd and perform their routine. Skills focused on are basic but incorporate the full spectrum of competitive cheerleading. We may not be the most exciting team to watch but definately the cutest. Join us for a week long camp as each grade level works on a performance piece inspired by Maurice Sendaks Where the Wild Things Are or one of his other works, like Little Bear, Chicken Soup with Rice, or Higglety Pigglety Pop.
