Hey there campers! We will be having a retreat out at camp for 6TH-12TH GRADE! Arrival time is at 6:30. We will be doing dinner that evening and then have a lot of games and activities planned. Brunch will be served the next morning. Check out time will be by 11:00am on Saturday. The cost is $10 per person. If your youth group plans to attend please have your Youth Leader get a hold of me. Camp Hope Volunteer Application - Camp Hope of East TN
If you would like to volunteer at Camp Hope of East TN this summer, please complete this online application. By default, you will be added to the "Waitlist" once your background check has been completed and approved, you will be "Registered" for the session. This system is designed to streamline the volunteer application and screening process. You can apply for as many positions and camp sessions as you like, however, you will be contacted by the camp director, Kraig Otto, upon approval of your background check. You will be able to determine along with Kraig how, where, and when you can serve as a volunteer at Camp Hope. You must be at least 16 years old to use this application system, however, if you are under 18, please contact Krag directly upon completion of the application for further interview. Jamie Young, an assistant for the 17-Time NBA Champion Boston Celtics, will host his 3rd annual youth basketball academy to support the Erika Kate Hope Alliance. He will be joined by an experienced staff of girls and boys basketball coaches from across the country. All proceeds will help ease the emotional, spiritual, and financial burdens borne by parents of children with life threatening heart conditions. Week 5 AM - Fishing - NESS
Summer is the best time of year for fishing, but you need the knowledge of fish habits to help narrow down the best fishing areas by boat and from shore. Open to both experienced and new anglers. Learn the basics of a variety of styles of fishing including rod and reel trolling, bottom fishing, fly fishing, clamming and lobster fishing. Students will also learn about tying knots, baiting hooks, cleaning gear, and practicing fishing safety. Become more aware of local fisheries and fishing impacts. We practice catch and release only. Students should bring their own fishing rods and tackle ready for use. Some NESS rods are available and bait will be provided, please call to inquire. 860-535-9362

Our Red Rockets class will help your child learn the skills that make up the foundation of tennis playing. Activities focus on building agility, balance and coordination skills (The ABCs), while developing the on court skills needed to serve, rally, and score. Children also begin to learn useful execution of tennis specific footwork patterns (i.e. split step, side shuffle). At the conclusion of a week session in this class, players will be able to demonstrate an understanding of basic technique. 904-256-5071
