Theater Performance Guild - Artists Exchange
Ready, rehearse, and act! Join our new Theater Performance Guild to develop your performance skills and put on original productions with an ensemble of like-minded actors. Make new friends while learning the basics of acting, improvisation, playwrighting, and stagecraft, and much, much more! Create your own characters and write your own scenes – the sky is the limit to the worlds we will explore and plays we will produce. A goal of the guild is to build a group of young actors who want to further develop their skills, have fun onstage and offstage, and hone their craft together. All experience levels welcome and encouraged to join, from beginner to advanced. Performances will be ongoing and run on eight-week schedules (subject to change due to any calendar/holiday conflicts). Session ends with a performance on Saturday, March 5th at the Black Box Theatre open to all family and friends. (No materials required aside from your imagination.) *WANT MORE FUN? If so, the MPA Homework Lab is the place for them! The MPA Homework Lab will take place Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:10pm to 4:30pm in Barker 13. The Lab will offer a quiet place where students can complete homework, ask questions, work on projects, or just study for quizzes and tests. August 8-12th Winona River Rats - Jaycees Pavilion
Learn and create riverside games using found rocks, sticks, and whatever else the river gives us. Build miniature test rafts and race them. Build a rafts large and small. Learn about useful and edible aquatic plants and animals. Track aquatic creatures along riverbank including the beaver, muskrat, heron, raccoon and more. Build primitive forts. Make and fish with a simple cane pole just like Huck and Tom. Use cane pole as part of stick and bindle (hobo satchel) to carry your goods during your travels. Friday Night Lights Camp Friday June 3, 2016 (Grades 9 to 12) - Sheakley Athletic Complex at UC
Description: There is nothing like stepping out onto the Sheakley Athletic Complex under the lights. Our Friday Night Lights Camp is an up-tempo evening of football with the Cincinnati Coaching Staff and top college coaches from the Midwest. This camp will be held at our practice complex under the lights, simulating a game day environment. Campers will go through combine style testing demos, position drills, 1-on-1 drills, speed drills, and on field competitions focusing on proper techniques and fundamentals. All One Day Camps feature in person instruction by the University of Cincinnati Football Coaches, along with many other coaches from FBS, FCS, Division II, and Division III level Colleges. A Member of the Cincinnati Football Staff will lead each Position. Camp is open to football players going into Grades 9 to 12in the fall of 2016, CHECK IN/CHECK OUT PROCEDURES • Check In – Friday, June 3, 2016 3:00 to 4:00 p.m., Linder Athletic Center • Closing Remarks – 7:00 pm., Sheakley Athletic Complex WHAT TO BRING • Any special shoes you may use.
