Camp Quest is a place for fun, friends, and freethought for kids ages 8-17. Camp Quest locations around North America provide a traditional sleepaway summer camp experience with a wide range of activities including sports, crafts, games, swimming, and campfires. In addition to our traditional summer camp activities, Camp Quest offers educational activities focused on critical thinking, ethics, scientific inquiry, philosophy, and comparative religion. Camp Quest is open to all children and teenagers within the age range, but it is particularly geared towards building a community for children from atheist, agnostic, humanist and other freethinking families. Camp S.W.A.G. (Students With Ambitions & Goals) is hosting a Teen Talent Show on January 29th, 2016 with a TENTATIVE location of Panther Creek High School in Cary, NC. We will keep you up to date on the exact location. Ticket are $15 in advance and $18 at the door. Are you a high school student who wants to audition for the talent show. Applications will be available on October 15, 2015 and auditions will be held the first week in January 9th, 2016. Location to be determined. Participants will work together using pi to try to open an ancient chest filled with treasure!! The chest is protected by a passcode that can only be determined through the activities within the lesson. Enjoy a progressive exposure to pi through this two-part lesson (total 110 minutes) offering a FUN storyline within the context of geometry and circles. This class is for coming 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade artists. Let me enrich your childs summer with a 6 week study of art. Sign up for a private hour of art in which I will come to your home and work with your child. The hour will include: working with the Elements and Principles of Design, experimenting with various media and techniques and learning to mount and display finished pieces, and connecting to art history. If there are siblings that are in the required grade levels, it will be an additional $63 for each additional artist. This fee includes all supplies.
