This summer we will be going to camp on week 10. That will be August 3rd – 8th. The evangelist will be Tom Farrell. Every teen and junior is invited to join us for summer camp. Teen campers must be 12 years old by September 1, 2015 and junior campers must be at least 9 years old by September 1, 2015. A class for beginner to intermediate ceramic students who love fantastical, magical, mythical creatures...Build projects out of clay, learn basic sculpting and glazing techniques and create unique art works each week. Bring your imagination! Clay, glazes and kiln time included. Projects will be ready for pick-up about 2 weeks after the end of camp. Got a kid who loves to move? This is the camp for you! Creative Movement is an exploratory camp that encourages students to be curious about all the wonderful ways their body can move. Each day of camp has a theme that dancers will explore through story, movement, music, props, crafts & games, allowing them to express themselves while learning movement vocabulary, strengthening coordination, gross and fine motor skills, and focus. Campers will learn how law enforcement professional solve crimes and meet real professional Crime Scene Investigators, K-9 Handlers and Forensic Pathologists (Sometimes the professionals are not able to come, due to their workload). Youll use the tools used in the field to collect evidence. Campers will learn how a crime is actually solved and learn how Biology, Chemistry and Physics play a major role in the investigation! Summer Stretch Yoga Camp: 4th of July Theme - Marine Park Building
Weekly Theme: 4th of July Balance like a palm tree, roar like a lion, and stretch like a giraffe in this fun-filled yoga camp! Camp begins with a 40 minute class where students learn new poses and breathing techniques each day on an imaginary yoga adventure. Class ends by relaxing with peaceful music. After class, the excitement continues with yoga stories and games, a break for lunch, and a creative take-home art activity. Art projects are yoga themed and will relate to the poses learned that day. Fun activities throughout the week include parachute games, treasure hunts, outdoor craft time, face painting, and more! Yoga has been shown to improve focus, confidence, and coordination in children. Please bring a snack, lunch, and water.
