TRI-It! This camp is designed for beginner triathletes that have competitive swimming or running experience. Find out why triathlon is one of the fastest growing sports in America and learn about NCAA scholarships for female athletes! USA Triathlon certified coaches (including Dr. Karen Edwards, Director of Afterschool and Summer at Laurel) will teach basic skills for completing your first triathlon. Learn open water skill techniques, bike handling skills (including braking, riding in a group, and safety skills) and running to maximize speed and minimize impact. Transition skills and strength and conditioning for endurance sports will also be covered. Tuition includes coaching, transportation to swim venue, and lunch. Basic swim proficiency is required. What Are the Activities like at Summer Camp?
The whole point of summer programs is to keep youth busy. Thus, most kids wake up and have breakfast by 8am. Traditional activities include arts and crafts, sports, swimming and boating. There are groups that offer specialized or advanced activities like archery, horseback riding, and sailing. An activity like horseback riding may have an additional cost or require that youth come to camp with special equipment and clothing. Specialty camps have specific classes or activities linked to their mission. For example, academic programs will include classes, religious camps will have Bible study, and leadership-focused programs may have public speaking sessions....

2016 Duluth FCA Youth Sports Camp - Duluth, MN
The Duluth Youth Sports Camp is a day camp for young athletes entering grades 2-7 (Fall 2016) who want to develop their skills in several sports and build their personal character. Campers will choose two sports to train in for the duration of camp and will be divided into groups for age appropriate training. Cubs Golf Morning Session - Brigham Young University
This summer your kids can train at East Bay Reserve Golf Course with BYU mens golf head coach Bruce Brockbank and receive instruction in the fundamentals of golf. Participants will receive instruction in short irons, long irons, woods, chipping and putting. Theyll also learn the basic fundamentals of correct grip, posture and alignment. This is your childs opportunity to train with some of the best golfers in the state including Coach Bruce Brockbank, members of his BYU golf team and East Bay Reserve staff. These coaches will spend personal time with each youth, teaching the fundamentals of golf. Additional training will include rules, etiquette, mental attitude, and conditioning. The camp is limited to 45 youth per session, so individual and small-group instruction and feedback are essential elements of the program.
