Back by popular demand! An introduction to casting and copper-folding. Want to play with red hot metal and hit things really hard? This sampler gives a taste of the ancient arts of pounding iron, melting bronze and shaping sheet copper. Work with your hands, get dirty, make and take cool stuff. Class meets only on Mondays from 3:00- 4:15 The class dates are 1/4, 1/11, 1/25, 2/1, 2/8, 2/22, 2/29– 7 weeks ($85) Puppetry: Our puppetry session allows students to craft and perform with their own puppet! **Participants MUST be registered in a class to be able to participate in this production. Seussical Jr! Transporting audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus, the Cat in the Hat, our narrator, tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos, including Jojo, a Who child who gets in trouble for thinking too many "thinks." Hortons challenge is twofold - not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must also guard an abandoned egg thats been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping, and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family, and community are challenged and emerge triumphant! All who register will be cast. Auditions Saturday, February 13th , from 2 - 5 for part placement.
