Class times will be assigned based on availability. Only for St. Thomas incoming freshmen who are required to take a summer course(s) in Language Arts, Reading and/or Pre-Algebra as a condition of acceptance. If one or more of these courses are checked on the Pink Course Selection Sheet, the student must successfully complete the course(s) in order to continue as a St.Thomas student for the fall semester. Albany Gems Summer Youth Dance Camp - Albany, OR
The Gems are hosting their 2nd Annual Summer Dance Camp on July 16-17th, 2016. This is a two day camp for 1st - 8th grade dancers of all abilty and skill levels. All classes will be held in the main facility at the Albany Boys and Girls Club. Both days will run from 8:00am - 3:00pm. This give LOTS of time for parents to get some stuff done while we entertain your kiddos! Classes will be split up by level and experience so that everyone is in a class they are comfortable with. Classes will be divided into Mini, Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced. Class descriptions will be posted later in the comments. Dancers will stretch and warm up together, learn a entire camp dance, learn level appropriate dance routines, practice technical skills that apply to all dancers, and dancers will be given snack and lunch breaks both days. At the end of the second day (3:00pm) there will be a family and friends show so that your dancers can show you what they've been working on. We have INCREDIBLE instructors coming from ALL over the State of Oregon to give your kiddos the BEST experience possible! ...

Storytime Yoga PK-1 (Monday) - Janney Elementary School
Yoga helps the student find balance at any age, calming the mind and relaxing the body. This class helps bring active minds into union with active bodies in a non-competitive environment. Kids will learn new poses in a fun and playful way that stretches and strengthens their imaginations as well as their bodies. Mats are provided. Previous yoga experience is not required. There will be two classes: one for our youngest yogis and one for our older yogis. 202-724-8950
Digital Photography - S1 - Plymouth Community Arts Council
This camp will teach you to use all of the features on your own camera while learning basic to advanced composition, exposure, focus, lighting and printing photos. We will take action, still life and landscape photos, so dress for the weather. We will print final photos and showcase the best in our summer camp art show. This is a tentative activity. Registrations will be accepted if it becomes official.Kids will learn kitchen safety, safe food handling, and how to follow a recipe. We will learn about foods from other countries. Table setting and manners will be part of the lesson as we make an appetizer, entrée, and dessert. SUB-ACTIVITIES

Are you on your way to Second Grade in the Fall? This is the class for you! Come and have fun learning all about Second Grade and the curriculum. Campers will dive into the ocean, fly around the world, plant some seeds, and read and write about many different areas of individual interest. Your child will not only get a taste of second grade but will have a head start on readiness skills to be successful in the fall. See you there!!
