The Perfect Vacation
I have to admit that when we dropped our son off at Camp Kentahten my husband and I were a little bit jealous. We had planned our own mini-vacation to coincide with our son's summer camp stay but we were going to my parents. I would much rather stay at one of those gorgeous lakefront rooms. Our son is looking forward to the archery and the climbing tower. I'm sure we'll be buying him a bow and arrow before the summer is out!... Read More...

Toddler Boot Camp: 'I'm a Big Kid Now' - Battle Creek, MI
Youngsters and their families will enjoy stories, crafts, songs, and surprises at Toddler Boot Camp. This themed four-week story time is geared to children 1-5 years old to encourage them to transition from the baby stages to a big kid. Stories and songs such as "Bye Bye Binky," " No More Diapers," and "No More Monsters," will be shared to make transitioning for parent and child a fun experience.

Our Annual Giving Campaign “Send a Kid to Camp” program provides scholarships for underserved, underprivileged, deserving kids to attend summer camp and participate in valuable outdoor education opportunities. Many children never have the opportunity to experience the magic of camp and it is our goal to ensure that every child has this opportunity. Camp helps kids to do better in school, lessening the detrimental effects of summer learning loss and builds invaluable self-confidence. Camp Shalom, established in 1954, is the oldest and largest day camp in Dane County and is sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Madison. Camp Shalom is for campers going into grades K-5 and Camp Shalom Noar-Bogrim, a hybrid of Camp Shalom Noar and Camp Shalom Bogrim, is for campers going into grades 6-9. Camp Shalom and Camp Shalom Noar-Bogrim serve over 1000 children throughout the summer and is located at the beautiful Irwin A. and Robert D. Goodman Jewish Community Campus in Verona.
