Footsteps Mandarin Immersion Summer Camp is an opportunity for extended Mandarin immersion. While having a fantastic time, your child will begin to acquire the ability to use Mandarin correctly and confidently in various daily tasks and social situations. Our dynamic, experienced staff is either native speaking or fluent. Campers spend each day moving from one activity to the next, designed to provide an immersion experience while still allowing for a ton of fun. Your child will love exploring the language and traditions of China by tasting authentic Mandarin cuisine—using Chinese words, of course, and learning about and creating traditional Mandarin arts and textiles and taking field trips to expand your childs knowledge. A week or more of camp will help boost your childs language ability! There is a weekly field trip and special event. Two healthy snacks are provided each day. Does a hermit prefer a sturdy fortress of a shell or a light easy-to-run with shell? Well track them by their trails and see where they go. Then of course, we have to build our own houses - light or sturdy- and protect them from other marauding hermits. And by the way, whats the difference between an ocean hermit crab and a land hermit crab? And have you ever seen pictures of crazy-big land crabs that use coconuts for shells?!! You will.
