Join Blake varsity soccer coach Lindsay Youngdahl for a preseason prep camp to help you gear up for the upcoming fall soccer season! This camp, like the Blake soccer teams, will emphasize teamwork, leadership, hard work and good sportsmanship. Activities will include large group warm-ups, individual skill development and small group competitions. Bring a soccer ball, shin guards, water and sunscreen. Winter Break Kid's Horse Camp! - Georgetown, TX
Sign up now for our Winter Break Kid's Horseback Riding Camp! For children ages 3 -18, no riding experience necessary. Kids learn about safety first, equipment, horses and riding in our soft-sand enclosed and covered round pen. What better way to finish off the winter break than by being outside with friends and siblings, learning a new skill, having fun, and gaining in self-confidence? All classes taught by Eric Clarke, natural horseman clinician with 35+ years experience as a professional trainer of horses and their people, assisted by several of his horsemanship apprentices. Class size is limited. All equipment and horses provided, except for boots (with a bit of a heel please; no sneakers) and helmets (no bicycle helmets). Camp is half-days, 9 AM - 12 noon. Summer Program 2016 Castle Creek Elem. - Castle Creek Elementary
Our unique summer program is designed for incoming 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th graders. We have now added K, and 1st. We provide a fun-filled environment where students can learn the various skills needed to be successful in school and in life. Parents choose two classes for their students to be enrolled in. Classes are Monday-Thursday, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Castle Creek. Kodu & Logo Programming - The Evergreen School
Students will learn how to program their own computer games and simulations, using Microsofts Kodu interactive game development environment and NetLogo, developed at Northwestern University. They will design their own landscapes for their Kodu character to navigate, add apples to collect and score points, and much more in this visual, block-based programming language. Well learn NetLogo by exploring models of ant colonies, traffic simulations, and the theory of wolf-sheep predation. Then students will design their own scenarios and even create games by typing in simple text-based code. No previous experience necessary. 206-957-1533
Scratch Video Game Design Programming & 3D Design - Ethical Culture
Well build programs, games, and animations using Scratch: the drag-and-drop, color-coded, event driven programming block editor, and create some epic 3D structures using the latest computer-aided design software (CAD). Young makers will learn the fundamentals of programming with this fun introduction from the MIT Media Lab including if/then statements, loop structures, data variables, mathematical and Boolean operators. These skills will be applied to create games as we explore design concepts such as objective, aesthetic, and difficulty curves. Makers will also design 3D objects and structures in TinkerCAD and learn the fundamental skills industrial designers, architects, and engineers use to design everything from toys and phones to robots and cars. 212-712-6230
