Strummin For Fun Ages 7-11 Beginner and intermediate players welcome! Well learn the basics of guitar playing by engaging in fun musical games and creative group activities. Our lessons will include learning to play melody by reading notation and TAB, chords and mini-chords, strumming patterns, song form, improvisation, songwriting and singing, and an exploration of various guitar styles. Life Teen Fall Retreat
Fall retreat is on the way, print out the form, please don't delay! The form and check is all you need, to guarantee your spot - indeed! We'll talk and have fun, it'll be cool, it's for anyone and everyone in high school! Here are more details, but they don't rhyme. This whole Seussing thing takes too much time! Our retreats begin Friday night and end Sunday early afternoon. At a retreat you can expect a weekend away full of building community, growing in our faith together. Corky Rogers Football Camp campers will enjoy an action-packed week of individual and group instruction in the basic fundamentals of football. Camp will include instruction on: •Techniques of Quarterback play •Receiving skills and running of pass patterns •Punting, place kicking drills and blocking techniques •Types for offensive and defensive plays Each camper will receive a camp t-shirt on the last day of camp. Skyhawks Minihawk Camp This multi-sport program gives children a positive first step into athletics. Baseball, basketball and soccer are taught in a safe, structured environment with lots of encouragement and a big focus on fun. Our Mini-Hawk games and activities were designed to allow campers to explore balance, movement, hand/eye coordination, and skill development at their own pace. Skyhawks staff are trained to handle the specific needs of young athletes. Sport Specific Requirements: All participants receive a t-shirt, water bottle and a merit award. This session will explore our regions animals and plant life. From the farms to the forest, and birdhouses to beaches, we will be inspired by the colors, shapes, and sound of the flora and fauna that are local to our area. Weather permitting, campers will explore nature on MAMs grounds and at Van Vleck House and Gardens. We will create works of two and three dimensional art in a variety of media inspired by our observations and imaginations!
