The campers will build with something different every day in the Makerspace, including Legos, littleBits, Knex, Straws and cardboard. Depending on the product used to build, the children will bring either their creation or a picture of what they built home with them. Although the emphasis will be on building from their imagination, there will be different prompts each day, such as to build an animal or a piece of furniture. Kids Loving to Learn
I sent my teenager to the Taft Summer School in Watertown, CT this past summer and I am so glad I did! She was able to get intensive learning in a school environment, but it wasn't school. It was more fun and had a lot of extras, so she was able to get the best of both worlds. The teachers are excited to teach and that’s why the campers learn so much. Cheer Tumbling Camp - Fargo, ND
TNT Kid’s Fitness and Gymnastics invites you to participate in our Cheer and Dance Tumbling Camp on Saturday, March 5, 2016. We will be teaching the basics through advanced tumbling. Every athlete gets the opportunity for 1 on 1 coaching and spotting. Running skills and standing skills will be taught in our state of the art gym equipped with trampolines, spring floors, mats, and a foam pit. This is a great camp to get that new tumbling pass or work on something new with a spotter! Bring your whole team and learn some new group tumbling to put in your routines. We will have spotters for athletes as young as 5 years old to collegiate. Collegiate athletes must provide proof of NCAA insurance coverage. There will be healthy concessions, bows, and T-shirts available for purchase. We will be hosting two sessions on Saturday, March 5th: 12:00pm -4:00pm: $40 per athlete 4:00pm- 8:00pm: $40 per athlete You can attend both sessions or choose just one. Each session includes groups divided by skill level and coached by a professional gymnastics tumbling coach. Beginner: Learning basic shapes for hand stands, cartwheels, Round-offs and front and back walkovers....

Girls Basketball Day Camp Session #3 - Hollinger Fieldhouse
The WCU Girls Basketball Camp is designed to teach the fundamentals/strategies of basketball through instructional skill sessions, team practice and games all with an emphasis on individual skills, team concepts and fun. Get ready for a safari full of LEGO WeDo adventure! Imagine the fun students will have creating music with a drumming monkey, escaping the jaws of a chomping alligator, or trying to calm a roaring lion! ACADEMIC - INTRODUCTION TO ROBOTICS - Notre Dame Academy
This course will teach students the basics of the history of robotics, along with key components of robots and how they developed over time. Following completion of short web research work, students will work in teams to learn to build robots, to program them and to use various sensors to make them "smart." As students progress, using Lego Mindstorm EV3 kits, they will learn to create more "sophisticated" robots that can do things the simpler ones cannot. Students will be graded on their knowledge of robot history and their components, as well as on their ability to complete specific exercises with the robots. This "hands-on "course is not only fun, but is a great learning experience!
