Heart Of Texas Preteen Camp is quickly approaching and I know we have alot of kids from Goldthwaite who want to go. ! This fundraiser is to off set the cost for the families of children wanting to attend. Preteen camp is for any child entering 4th - 6th grade is usually $145. At the luncheon we will serve: Tom Guthrie's FAMOUS Pulled Pork, Beans, Potato Salad, Bread, Pickles, Onions and Dessert.

As everyone gears up for school to start back, we're glad to announce our first Kids Night Out on September 9th - a Lego night! Cost is $15 a child (multi-child discounts available), which includes the cost of dinner. Come join us for a night including Gaga Ball, Legos, and a Bible Study! Open to campers K5-6th Grade. Our PV Hockey high end summer individual skills program is designed for the serious player. PV and the rest of the staff use this 7 week program to work on and enhance your total skills package and to take your game to the next level. We limit the groups to 18 players with 5 of our top instructors, Coach V, Ken Hodge Jr, Jason Lawrence, Dave Cunnif, Steve Poapst, Danny Hodge are just a few of our lead instructors. Our primary focus is on skating, passing and stickhandling, the 3 areas Coach V has seen a dramatic drop off in over the past several years and an area where you can make a difference. Our staff is dedicated to teaching you the right way to play the game and thru our stop and do it right teaching methods, our track record is second to none. Summer Camp Sacred Artist - Skyliner Lodge
Wildheart Sacred Artists know their nature both within and without. Newborns arrive into this world with a purity and clarity so intense that it is near impossible not to fall into some divine joy when looking into their eyes. As they grow older, this clarity begins to fade as they develop a healthy sense of who they are and begin to define the world they are perceiving. At Wildheart, there is nothing more important to us than returning the power and clarity to childrens eyes. Nature is the perfect setting for inviting kids to return to their inner truths. In this centering and empowering week of camp we will be exploring mindfulness, meditation, dance, sacred art, earth skills, music, compassion, and Earth-based ceremonies. Children will come away with practice choosing kindness over anger, peace over anxiety, and love over fear. They will also come away with a unique altar cloth dyed using local plants and leaf prints. Second year students also receive a surprise item for their altar that represents a positive quality they have offered to the camp. Build a Google Cardboard virtual reality viewer from materials that will be provided at camp, then use an experimental Virtual Reality toolkit to design your own immersive, interactive worlds on supplied computers or on a mobile device. NOTE: THIS PROGRAM RUNS MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY FOR A HALF DAY. FRIDAYS ARE FIELD TRIP DAYS AND ARE THEREFORE FULL DAYS. UNLESS THE CAMP DIRECTOR GIVES YOU AN EARLIER ARRIVAL TIME, PLAN TO DROP OFF YOUR CHILD AT 9:00 AM ON FRIDAYS.
