MAS Youth Summer Camp! August 7th-9th - Junction City, KS
WHEN IS THE CAMP? The camp will, Insha'Allah, be from Friday, August 7th - Sunday, August 9th. WHERE WILL THE CAMP TAKE PLACE? Rock Springs 4-H Center in Junction City, KS. It is about 2 - 2.5 hours away from Kansas City. Transportation will be provided, Insha'Allah. (Please see details below.) WHO MAY ATTEND THE CAMP? Young youth boys and girls ages 11-18 only. WHAT IS THE COST TO ATTEND THE CAMP? The cost is $90 per child by July 24th midnight. After July 24th, the cost will go up to $110/per child. Registration space is limited. Civil War Officer Training Academy - Historic Travellers Rest
A-TEN-TION!!! CADETS, FALL IN!!! Officers Training Academy is now accepting enlistments for a week of drills, tactics, military strategy, and flour-bomb battle reenactments. Learn how Civil War officers trained their soldiers, prepared for battles, and entertained themselves during downtime. All cadets will be loaned a soldiers uniform and wooden training rifle for the week. Bring a parent for the academy camp-out on Friday night, have a soldiers campfire breakfast, and attend the graduation ceremony on Saturday morning. Calling all flutes, oboes, clarinets and bassoons! Chamber Music is a fun and effective way to improve your playing skills. In rehearsals and master classes well cover a variety of topics like rhythm, phrasing, listening, intonation, projection and blend. In addition, students will receive instrument specific instruction from MacPhail faculty and local teaching artists.
