Spring Break is only five days long, so lets make the most if it by having fun in as many ways possible! Spend the week with us as we dabble in a little bit of everything. Well participate in awesome team competitions, put on our chef hats and whip up some delicious treats, and find our inner artist with some creative crafts! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Morning snack provided, campers should bring daily lunch. ?Little Hands, Open Minds & Big Hearts? Learn how little hands with a big heart can change our community through art. Under the mentorship of a YAV artists, students will learn the fundamentals of drawing, painting, sculpture and assemblage art. Through classes where the students learn the vocabulary used in the different art forms to specially designed projects that bring together little hands, open minds and big hearts to create and exhibit their work, the students will grow as individual artists with a teamwork mentality. This camp is for the all around athlete or for someone who wants to try it all. Sports like soccer, basketball, hockey, football, and baseball will be taught in detail. The main focal point of this camp is teamwork and sportsmanship. Each sport is covered in a way so that every participant can contribute to his or her teams success. This camp is not about winning or losing its about having FUN and learning. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- All equipment is provided for this camp. Waves, waves and more waves! If you are a monkey and love being in the water and riding on waves, then this week is for YOU! We will be testing our water riding skills out on as many different types of boats & boards that we can. Boogie boarding, surfing, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding. This is the ultimate water adventure, testing your core, balance and fitness. This class has been specifically designed for ages 9 – 12 years old so no experience is necessary as long as you are comfortable on and in the water. We will teach you the basics! Experience the fun of laying down a basic rock groove or the joy and energy of a large ensemble of mallet instruments. In this fantastic new camp, students will get a chance to try a variety of percussion instrument while building basic playing skills that will help prepare them to play in their school band or orchestra. Any student can join this camp, even if you have no previous experience playing an instrument. After 5 fun-filled days packed with lots of playing time on a variety of instruments, students will have a chance to show off their new skills for family and friends at a recital at the end of camp.
