Grand Camp for Kids
My kids enjoyed this camp so much! It was fabulous and the staff was amazing. They were able to do the normal camp activities, but they were also able to do archery, paintball, mountaineering, hiking, campfire programs and they even took a 4 day trek into the Grand Canyon. Science is more than a subject. Its part of everything we do. The more we understand, the more we can appreciate and conserve our natural world. Join us for one or all of seven MAD LABS taking place on Friday mornings for hands-on, scientific activities that will encourage kids to experiment, learn, design, create, investigate, and more. Get your lab coats ready – we are going to get mad in our lab! A Pinhead Institute representative will be available to walk kids to Pinhead HQ from the Telluride Elementary School. For Boys and Girls Ages 4-12 years old 5 HALF DAYS 9AM-12:30 PM This program offers children a chance to participate in many different sports such as basketball, soccer, floor hockey, volleyball, and other physical education type activities. Tennis 3 - Brigham Young University
Join BYU mens tennis head coach Brad Pearce for a week of incredible tennis! Learn strategies, tactics and techniques through drills, on-court instruction and singles and doubles play. Players will receive instruction on the fundamentals of all major strokes and will practice these strokes through feeding, live-ball drilling and competitive match-play. Students will hone their skills as they have an opportunity to advance through each of five stations that are set up to practice every aspect of their game. They will also have an opportunity to improve their fitness and participate in competitive off-court games that focus on enhancing their flexibility through stretching, agility and endurance. In addition, they will play competitive matches in both singles and doubles. This is excellent preparation for anyone interested in participating in high school tennis or preparing to compete in USTA leagues and/or tournaments. On Friday of each week, all participants will play in an individual singles tournament against players that are at their level. Trophies are awarded for the winners and runner-ups, but all will play multiple matches. The camp concludes after the tournament on Friday with an awards ceremony. Rain Forest Adventures - Forney, Trinity Family Church
Kids will learn about the rain forest through art & literature this week! They will draw & paint toucans, tree frogs, mandrills, exotic plants of the jungle, & many other aspects of the rain forest. Campers will enjoy using their creativity to create rain forest animals from clay each day. Please bring to camp: Large shoe or boot box for fired clay pieces (write name on box), old shirt to wear during camp Each day: Drink & snack to enjoy during 15 minute break About our Summer Camp! Campers will experience 3 hours of creative opportunities each day. They will learn & practice basic skills such as drawing with pencil, markers, charcoal, oil & chalk pastels. Students will learn color mixing & painting with artist paintbrushes while using watercolors & acrylic paints.
