The Beginning Traditional Strings class is for students in Third and Fourth Grade who have no experience and wish to play violin, viola, cello or bass in a traditional class setting. The class will focus on proper instrument posture, note reading and repertoire from the Essential Elements for Strings. These weekly, hour-long lessons include a snack and short break. Students must rent or purchase their own instruments. A book and other instructional materials will be provided. Classes meet on Fridays from 3:15 - 4:15 p.m. 818-591-6597

Invention Convention - Winter Session - Adams Elementary
Held in Computer Lab. Using Lego Mindstorms robots, Terraformers software, Circuitry, Solar Kits, Keva Planks, Rocketry, Technology and do-it-yourself projects, our curriculum challenges kids to design and construct 3-D innovations individually and as a team. Like riding your bike in the woods? Want to take your riding to the next level? Whether you ride all the time or just like to play in the woods, join our staff for a week of mountain bike riding at Loyola and area trails. Climb better and descend with more control. Learn how to shift more efficiently, brake properly and ride with more confidence. Additionally, we will cover basic bicycle and trail maintenance and develop an appreciation for the outdoors in a fun and safe environment. *While riding is our main focus in this camp, we realize that we are at the mercy of Mother Nature and should there be inclement weather additional activities may be deemed more appropriate.
