The Teen Girl Retreat, hosted by Wises Chapel Missionary Baptist Church of Pineville, Arkansas, will be March 10th-11th at Budd Creek Baptist Camp. Registration will be on the 10th, 5:30-7:00. PRE-REGISTRATION will need to be done by February 20th. This will guarantee a T shirt for those registering & will give us a head count for food & dorms. Clark Youth Theatre will hold a series of summer Theatre Camps at the Henthorne Performing Arts Center. Enrollment begins Saturday, April 2nd at 8:30am. Each two-week camp includes classes on acting, dancing, and other performance skills. This is a great opportunity for children ages 8-14 who are interested in theatre and performing arts. Campers must have completed the second grade. The cost is $225 per session. The remaining dates for summer Theatre Camp are: Session 1: June 6-17 Session 2: June 20-July 1 Session 3: July 5-15 Session 4: July 18-29 Session 5: Aug 1-12 Classes are 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. The camp also offers early drop-off at 7:30 a.m. and late pick-up until 5:30 p.m. for an additional $25 fee. The camp takes a broad approach to cover all aspects of golf, including technology, the mental game and physical fitness. Campers are encouraged to join for at least 2-3 weeks for maximum improvement, but may sign up for individual weeks. Next Level Junior Campers must have a minimum of 2 years playing experience and turn 12 by 6/1/16. Next Level PGA Junior Camps offer small group instruction integrated with supervised course play. Whether you are painting with mud or building a collaborative sculpture, this week of wonder and intrigue is one you dont want to miss! Working outside and in the studio, individually and collaboratively, you will end this week with greater art making skills and a better understanding of our surrounding world. Emma Davidson earned her BFA from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). Between 2012 and 2015, she was on staff at Touchstone Center for Crafts and worked as a teaching artist for various organizations in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Currently, Emma is living Juneau, Alaska, where she is enjoying a year-long, dual art and teaching residency at the Canvas.
