I sent my teenager to the Taft Summer School in Watertown, CT this past summer and I am so glad I did! She was able to get intensive learning in a school environment, but it wasn't school. Discover how to throw on the wheel making useful forms including mugs, bowls, plates, and vases then decorate the forms with a variety of colorful slips and glazes. The Stephens Session is a traditional camp experience for campers on the high end of the Autism spectrum or with mild developmental disabilities. Each camper in this session will have an individual counselor, and will stay in a cabin with 3 other campers and counselors. Campers will participate in all camp activities, including canoeing, games, arts and crafts, swimming, meals, and playing in the creek. Todays game is becoming more advanced & Christie has built a program that will help your player. Her trainers will include Sky Blue FC coaches & players, national team players, elite club, high school & college coaches. Some concepts Christie and her counselors will teach and incorporate: Reading the game properly, spacial awareness, body language, using your voice, understanding "team", training on your own, build confidence, always believe, being coachable & others. The golf camps at Grantwood provide a safe and fun atmosphere for juniors of all skill levels to play golf, build friendships and create lifelong memories. Our camps are staffed by PGA Professionals and instructors who focus on all important aspects of the game including putting, chipping, full swing, on-course play and rules and etiquette. Registration fee includes all golf fees, range balls, refreshments, lunch daily, prizes and more! This is a great opportunity for the aspiring avid junior golfer to learn many new aspects to improve scores and enhance their enjoyment of the game.
