Designed for high school students, Clarinet Camp covers topics from clarinet assembly and reed care to history and repertoire. Students will be placed in small ensembles to play clarinet-only repertoire which will be featured in a final performance at the end of the week for family and friends. During small ensemble rehearsals and classes, well discuss clarinet specific topics including: how the reeds/mouthpieces/ligatures we choose affect our performance, various styles of clarinet playing, the acoustics and history of the instrument and emergency repair. In addition students will work on general musicianship skills including critical listening and effective strategies for auditions and performances. SKILLS Clarinet INSTRUCTOR Nina Olsen

Junior scientists will explore a different science topic each day based on the books of award winning childrens author, Eric Carle. Finding the science in beloved literature, such as The Very Hungry Caterpillar or The Mixed-Up Chameleon engages even the youngest scientist through experiments, activities and science related crafts! 513-612-5786
