Students will learn about project design, object-oriented programming, console applications, graphics applications and many elements of the Java language. Students will build on what they learn each day. This includes learning how to program frames, colors and programming moving objects. The week begins with simple programming until it builds by the end where students will be able to create the game of pong in Java. Acorn camp is for children who have not yet attended Kindergarten and are potty trained. Acorns go home before lunch but will be provided a nutritious morning snack.
