Grades: K - 12th This weeks theme "Kids in the Kitchen Week" Parents, is your child ready to have fun and make new friends this summer? If yes, then bring your child to the coolest hot spot in town. The Lacey Park Day Camp is full of fun activities for children grades K thru 6th. This is an outdoor recreation camp. Campers will learn about the benefits of being physically active; as well as, having a healthy lifestyle in the outdoors. Each week campers will engage in various group games, art projects, participate in a talent show and weekly field trips to the Hanford Teen Center, Hanford Plunge and the local Library. Free breakfast and lunch will be provided. A weekly food menu will be provided at request. If your child has a particular taste, you may consider bringing a sack lunch for your child. The park in the summer is hot, please send your child to the park with a bottle of water and sunscreen. Staff will provide an igloo of cold water for refills. Under the supervision of Kennesaw Parks & Recreation staff, children can independently choose and engage in a variety of activities including arts and crafts, games, puzzles, reading, drawing or simply socializing with friends. At 9:00am, children will be escorted to camp, and signed-in by a staff member. Fees will not be pro-rated for partial attendance. Camp Young Scientist - Club ScientificLab
The Jr. Scientist Camp covers a broad range of fun and exciting science topics such as: Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Lab Process Skills. Activities and experiments explore different branches of science including entomology, oceanography, paleontology, and rocketry. This camp is perfect for the child who has a general interest in science and wants an exciting "sampler" camp! Campers learn all about the Scientific Method, how to observe and document changes with their experiments day to day, how to measure, and more! Wrestling (Mondays Only) - Notre Dame Preparatory School and Marist Academy
Beginners and experienced wrestlers alike will be challenged at this camp. This technique camp will provide instruction on stance, level changing, circling, shooting and sprawling. High school students attending the camp will work on leg riding offense and defense, throws and throw defense, rolls, advance shot defense, scoring from an offensive position, and mental toughness. This camp will run Mondays only. Please note our new cancellation policy. A 50% fee of the cost of the camp shall be applied to an individual who cancels.
