Campbell Basketball Summer Overnight Camp - Campbell University
Kevin Mcgeehans Summer Basketball Overnight Camp is a great opportunity for boys ages 8-18 to experience 4 full days of fun and basketball at Campbells beautiful basketball facilities. Campers will have the opportunity to participate in many team building activities, individual skill development, as well as compete in games against campers of their age group. The focus of our Campbell camps is always on fundamentals, teamwork, and enjoying the game of basketball. Campbell Basketball camps have long been renowned in North Carolina and have seen the likes of Pistol Pete Maravich, Michael Jordan, and countless others. Outer Space Adventure with Us and Learn Spanish. Enter the time machine once again and leave earthly worries behind because there is no time like the future to discover what awaits us in other galaxies. Its a strange world of changing realities and campers learn all about how to survive by using their senses. Campers transform into aliens with unique features and devices that help them thrive in outer realms of space. Campers play active & quiet games, create, sing songs, act, dance, cook and discover the joys of learning Spanish while playing sports too. Theme vocabulary includes colors, counting, verbs, nouns, adjectives to describe the power of our senses. Celebration Day Wednesday (participation optional) Campers express their alien spirit with their absurd alien ­inspired hairdo. During camp choice time campers find their alien ‘relatives according to hairstyle and create their unique alien group ‘Survival Guide. Notes: There may be options for arranging late pick up the same day. You will be notified of these options the week prior to camp start. The Elite Orange and Black Camp is designed for highly motivated student-athletes with aspirations of playing basketball at the collegiate level. The Princeton Womens Basketball staff, Princeton players, and other head coaches from around the country will instruct campers on individual skill development as well as working within the team dynamic. So You Want to Be an Animal Trainer: March 21 st Lions, Tigers & Bears OH MY. Well here at EcoAdventures its Gators , Snakes & Lizards, OH MY! Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be an animal keeper? If yes, then youve come to the right place. Not only has some of our staff worked in some great zoos and aquariums but we have a great collection of our own! This camp was designed for students that want to find out what it is like to work with animals. Maybe you could be a dolphin trainer or animal trainer, or even a vet? It a lot of fun working with animals but you will also be introduced to the non –glamorous things you do as a zoo keeper. Thats right- the yucky stuff- Clean poop! We wont make you clean it- but you can get to make, inspect and eat your own edible chocolate poop for a snack to give you energy to prepare to pass the physical tests: shoveling hay, carrying heavy buckets of food? Watkins Mill Nature Center - EcoAdventures
Wednesday, July 20th 9-4pm, $80 (ages 6-11) *limited to 13 due to van space Watkins Mill Nature Camp: We have an exciting day lined up for campers at the Watkins Regional Park in Upper Marlboro. Campers will visit the Watkins Nature Center for an hour interpretive program on birds of prey. Live animals on display include insects, amphibians, reptiles and birds of prey. The nature center also features indoor and outdoor ponds, a songbird feeding area, a butterfly/hummingbird garden, composting area, an outdoor nest box exhibit, and a squirrel gym that showcases the parks squirrel population. Campers will pack a picnic lunch and have time play on the storybook themed playground. After lunch, we will visit the Old Maryland Farm, an agricultural educational farm open to the public. Its agricultural exhibits, livestock, and display gardens provide a farming experience to visitors.
