TBA camps are designed for all climbing levels. Kids will learn a variety of climbing skills such as body awareness, technique, and problem reading through fun games and activities. Spend 4 days with friends, participate in fun contests, evenings by the fire, grow spiritually, and of course maybe meet your other half! This camping will be on a separate territory, away from civilization (just forest and bears around). We will be living in cabins (up to 10 people in one). Maple sugaring adventure! - Common Ground
Maple sugaring: February and March are sugaring season in Connecticut! The sap flows strongly on sunny mornings when it is just above freezing. Hopefully we will catch a sap run and taste some sap right from the tree! We will check out the Sugar Shack and see where the sap is boiled into syrup, make and eat some maple treats, and explore the forest for signs of spring. ********************************************************** Who: these classes are for children of all ages with a parent or caregiver (no drop-off option available for winter classes). Program fee: $15 for the first child ages 3 and up, $10 for each additional child (ages 3 and up). The sibling discount will be applied automatically when you register online. No charge for children ages 2 and under. Location: Common Ground, 358 Springside Ave, New Haven, CT 06515.
