Children with intellectual and developmental disabilities enjoy summer camps as well as anyone else does. My 10 year old son is intellectually delayed. He looks forward to this camp every summer. In fact, he keeps asking us how many days until camp? He likes to swim, make crafts, sing and learn new skills at summer camp. This is one of our greatest opportunities at White Pine. Participants recieve on-going mentorship in complex wilderness survival skills, tracking, and awareness. We are an aboriginal skills school. We teach these skills within an ethnohistorical context. Our intention is to deepen each persons relationship with their environment, their ancestry, their community and themselves. All this within the context of "the invisible school" a mentorship model that disguises curriculum in games, stories, and spontanious nature learning. Cost is $35.

Campers delve into life on a space station by probing into multiple science disciplines key to living and conducting research in space. They will touch on astronomy, geology, physics, human physiology and more through engaging experiments and hands-on activities (including LEGO constructions).
