Unlike the "olden days", when fun was dependent on whatever was readily available, so much of todays youth leisure time is spent staying connected through technology. What would happen if suddenly all that went away? "A Kids Life" will explore that possibility, and thats where the fun and music all begin! The StagePlay program also incorporates valuable life lessons such as teamwork, commitment, conquering fear, being prepared, confidence and theater etiquette. On the last day of camp, our talented young stars perform for friends and family, showing off all that they have learned in only one week. Participants will receive a souvenir camp t-shirt. ~5th ANNUAL SUMMER CAMP CAR SHOW and SILENT AUCTION~ - Terre Haute, IN
Them One Guys Car Club is hosting our 5th annual fundraiser car show on Saturday, June 11th 2016 in K-Mart parking lot at 4651 S. US HWY 41 in Terre Haute, IN 47802. All proceeds will be donated to Boy Scout Troop 504 to help them pay for camp and other trips and supplies. Troop 504 will have a free will donation concession stand and are hand making the awards to be given to the winner of each class. The winners of each class will be determined by the spectators' popular vote and there will also be a scouts choice award which will be determined by the popular vote of Boy Scouts of any troop who come to the car show with their BSA membership card or Class A shirt on. There will be a $10 fee for early bird registration or day of show fee of $15 to enter cars, trucks or motorcycles. The first 25 will recieve a dash plaque! Registration will begin at 9:00 am and continue through 11:00 am, Show and voting will begin at 11:00 am and continue until 2:00 pm. Awards presentation will follow promptly after 2:00 pm. Camp CCYT is BACK! Caryl Crane Youth Theatre is pleased to announce GODSPELL as its 2016 summer camp offering! Explore all aspects of the theatre with other aspiring actors who love the stage as much as you do! Camp CCYT is the arts camp that is more than a traditional summer camp. Designed for students ages 10-18, the program is a comprehensive, one-week intensive, in which students get a chance to hone their skills in a fast-paced, creative environment. Camp CCYT meets July 18-23, 2015, 9am – 3 pm in the McBride Auditorium on BGSU Firelands College Campus. One performance of Godspell is scheduled for Saturday, July 23 at 10 am. Each student will not only STAR onstage in the production, but also will also contribute to the direction, choreography, set, lighting and costume design of the production. Students will be assigned a mentor from the Caryl Crane Youth Theatre 2016 Staff and will work as assistants on a specific “behind-the-scenes” area of their interest. Camp CCYT is designed to instill in aspiring thespians a deeper understanding about producing and participating in a first-class musical with working professionals. Ahoy Mateys! ARRRRrrr you looking for some adventure this summer? Just look for the mighty Jolly Roger flag! This week is full of pirate excitement, including many pirate stories and dramatic play. Campers will also make their own pirate costumes, treasure maps and search for buried treasure. They will have a swashbuckling good time and if they are brave enough, they may have a chance to walk the plank! See you this summer, me hearties!
