This is a recreational & competitive level camp open to boys and girls 4-14 years old. Players will improve their technical abilities with the soccer ball through practicing proper mechanics of dribbling, passing and receiving. Dribbling & passing reside at the core of technical progression in order to become a skilled and intelligent player. After completion of the Dribbling & Passing camp, we recommend progressing to the Attacking & Defending camp. As a certified educator working in the public schools I can attest that Camp Birch Hill is an excellent opportunity for students to increase their social skills, learn how to collaborate, and most importantly, have FUN! Summer Camping Trip! Come join is for the annnual weekend of fun in the woods! Catawa Falls Campground offers great streamside tent camping sites, cabins and fantastic waterfalls to explore. We will be hiking and exploring the area around that Campground. We will be 25minutes from Asheville, NC The cost will be roughly $10.00 per person per day of tent camping. The sites we will secure are right off the river! We will have a nearby pavillion to grill and cook. There are MANY cabins to choose from, the cabins have electricity but no running water. All showers will be at the bath house in the middlefo the campground. Those that want to paticipate in getting a cabin please let me know and we can firgure out the cost per person. Campfires every night! Get your marshmellows ready! THIS IS A KID FRIENDLY EVENT!! Kids will have plenty to do with creeks to wade through and a playground nearby. 2016 Baroody Kayak Touring and Fishing Camp - Alexandria
Join Virginia Outside for an introduction to kayaking and kayak fishing. Our staff will instruct you on safety, paddling, and general maneuvering of a sit-on-top kayak. As you learn throughout the week at various locations, we will incorporate fishing, sightseeing and touring while paddling on all types of water. From local lakes and rivers like Bull Run, Fountainhead, and tidal creeks of the Potomac. We will progress to days on lazy rivers that include the Shenandoah, Rappahannock, and Rapidan Rivers. A kayak is a great way to get close to nature and we expect to see bald eagles, ospreys, herons, deer and beaver. When we are fishing our catch will include large and smallmouth bass, catfish, sunfish, crappie, and maybe even the infamous snakehead.
