This camp is for 7TH – 12TH grade boys and girls who are serious about becoming better runners. The students enrolled in our camp will receive a steady diet of cross-country running each day. Them One Guys Car Club is hosting our 5th annual fundraiser car show on Saturday, June 11th 2016 in K-Mart parking lot at 4651 S. US HWY 41 in Terre Haute, IN 47802. All proceeds will be donated to Boy Scout Troop 504 to help them pay for camp and other trips and supplies. Troop 504 will have a free will donation concession stand and are hand making the awards to be given to the winner of each class. The winners of each class will be determined by the spectators' popular vote and there will also be a scouts choice award which will be determined by the popular vote of Boy Scouts of any troop who come to the car show with their BSA membership card or Class A shirt on. Join us as we take art to the Natural History Museum of Utah. We will meet on location and will set-up our drawing boards to sketch dinosaurs, gems, geology, and much more. We will use several mediums including: pencil, charcoal, pastel, watercolor, markers, and ink. This is a great time to learn new art techniques and learn about Utahs ancient history. One of Shakespeares most famous tales comes to life in this special adaptation of "A Midsummer Nights Dream" designed especially for tweens! This show takes the fear out of Shakespeare, bringing the characters vividly to life with abounding comedy and an outstanding musical score. The basic story remains intact, but is updated with modern vocabulary and music to make it accessible for everyone. This show has many speaking (and singing) roles to introduce students to your favorite characters. The next team sport to open up for registration in our new Grade 5/6 Team Sports Development Program will be Girls Lacrosse. The goal of this program is to help girls develop basic lacrosse game skills and to provide opportunities to apply these skills in modified game situations. This program will be coached by Ms. Margie Anderson, former NCAA Division I College player (UMass) and coach (UNH) and one of our coaches of the MS girls 7 & 8 grade Girls Lacrosse teams and by Mrs. Christy Woodburn, grade 5 Assistant. Practices will be held on the following Wednesdays and Fridays: April 20, 22 , 27, and 29 and May 6, and 11. In addition, a small number of games/scrimmages are scheduled on Monday 5/2 (Hudson Youth at OTS), Friday 5/13 (the Saints at OTS), Saturday 5/14 (noon CLE at OTS), plus on Wednesday 5/18 (Revere Youth at OTS). Minimum number of participants will be 12 Registration fee is $125 and the registration deadline is April 17, 2016 Players are strongly encouraged to bring their own goggles, mouth guards and sticks.
