The Birchmont Fun Fest
They call is the 'Birchmont Experience' on their website. I call it the Birchmont Fun Fest because that's just what our two kids went through. Although they are only a year apart you would think they grew up in separate cities. What amazed me is how close they became. That was worth the price of admission! Kid's Craft Camp: keeping your kiddos busy and learning with some fun yarn art! •Price per student: $25.00 includes supplies and snacks. •Kids 7-16 are welcome, we'll have simple projects as well as more complicated ones for the older ones. Grades 7th-12th This camp is an overnight camp at Brewton Parker College. Campers will be in small groups with friends and participate in mission projects and team building activities together throughout the week. SC2016: Life Under a Rock Week - Sanibel Flagship Campus
Oh the things that live under rocks! If you only knew what cool creatures are under there, youd never snorkel in more than a foot of water again! Well spend a week turning over rocks to see what teeny-tiny creatures we can find living in the ocean. Marine worms, tiny crabs, tiny crustaceans and nudibranchs and all kinds of algae. Well bring some rocks to our tanks to watch more closely. Well leave no rock unturned. And since were talking about the highly prized wave zone (in wavier places), well crash around in our own splash zone and compete for space to imagine where a limpet or barnacle is supposed to go when all the rocks are full. Playground games are physically and mentally challenging and support social and conflict resolution skills. These games are excellent in supporting healthy growth of endurance and dexterity. All week in the camp were playing games. Well be introducing new games as well as playing some of our old-time favorites.
