This was the first time our daughter was going away for the summer and we were understandable cautious but optimistic. Doing the research on Brewster before signing up helped because there were so many positive reviews. I'm happy to report they lived up to those reviews in so many ways. It's here! The Fall edition of our Teen Power Camp provides a fundamental fitness foundation for any high school student, scaled to anyone from first timers just trying to get into shape to high school athletes looking for structured off-season training or additional in-season work. The Teen Power Program will introduce athletes to bodyweight exercises, gymnastics, powerlifting and basic olympic weightlifting, all while under the close supervision of a certified CrossFit instructor. Our goal is to teach local Teens how to safely and efficiently move their body and external objects (bars, kettlebells, medicine balls, etc) through space, dramatically improving body composition and improving athletic ability in anyone. Our program is designed to increase stamina, strength, power, endurance, coordination, balance, accuracy and flexibility in any person, all while in a team environment filled with positive people. Every workout is scaled to ANY teens capacity. Teens must be at least 13 years of age and emotionally mature. Freshwater can be the limiting factor for land animals and plants living on a barrier island. Sanibel is blessed with a natural supply of surface fresh water. We learn about Sanibels freshwater habitats and how they affect the local flora and fauna. In addition, we study one of the wetlands most notorious inhabitants, the American Alligator. Campers aged 11-12 visit TAC daily, for project-based classes inspired by their weekly field trip to a current textile related exhibition in New York. Come and join us for a summer filled with fun and adventure! Dont let your kids spend the summer sitting around the house with nothing to do. We will be offering new and creative activities for the kids to do this summer. Activities will include but are not limited to games, arts and crafts, science experiments, team building, cooking, sports, and swimming. Each week a different theme will be explored by the campers. Evans Summer Day Camp visits the pool twice a week, the movies once a week, and field trips every Friday. Campers have the chance to sign up for discounted swimming lessons, transportation included! All staff are CPR and First Aid certified and we are a licensed program through the state of Colorado. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fees include activities.
