ARTBUG IS AN ENRICHMENT PROGRAM, WHERE CHILDREN ARE ENCOURAGED TO EXPLORE THEIR CREATIVITY, IN A FUN AND CARING ENVIRONMENT. THE CAMP WILL CHALLENGE YOUNG ARTIST TO USE LINES, SHAPES, COLORS, TEXTURES, PATTERNS AND OTHER ART ELEMENTS TO CREATE THEIR OWN MASTERPIECE! WE INSPIRE EACH OF OUR BUDDING ARTISTS THROUGH DIFFERENT ACTIVITIES SUCH AS DRAWING, PAINTING AND SCULPTING AND BY FACILITATING AN ENVIRONMENT WHERE THEY ARE FREE TO DISCOVER AND EXPERIENCE THE JOY OF CREATING SOMETHING OUT OF THEIR IMAGINATION! Intro to Programming - Duluth First United Methodist Church
COURSE Campers will be using a software program from MIT called Scratch. The program was designed for children, and teaches them the basics of programming as they create animated stories, video games, and interactive artwork. Adaptive Sports and Fitness Camp - Broadway Recreation Center
Get up off the couch! Athletes will have the opportunity to try new sports and games or have fun perfecting the ones they already love, while staying fit. Sports may include: volleyball, kickball, basketball, flag football, and pickle ball. Athletes should wear loose comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Tuesday - Knitting - HoLa Lower School
This class begins with essential lessons for to empower new knitters. Lessons will include choosing supplies, reading instructions, casting on, knit stitch, purl stitch, and binding off. Using these basic techniques, participants will learn how to create different knitting patterns using the knit and purl techniques, including seed stitch, ribbing, stockinette, and garter.
