Yes, boys will boys and that's why this camp experience was tailor made for our two pre-teens. It seems like they never run out of energy and this was the perfect environment to keep them busy. I also very much liked the ability to check in and see how they were progressing. 33rd Annual Kids TKD Camp - Harrison, AR
This is the 33rd Annual Kids Camp! This may be the best camp ever!!! Last year was tremendous, but this will be something special. There are three options for camp: The first is to start on Sunday (Full Camp), another is to check in on Wednesday (Half Camp) and we also have the option of daily attendance. (Class might go until 5:00) And every Saturday after that except 11/28 and 12/26 Recital 1/17/16 Class Description --------------- ACT I - INTRODUCTION TO ACTING II: AGES 5-17 Students ages will be exposed to various acting warm ups and exercises connecting movement and sound. They will also learn how to read a script, mark stage directions, memorize lines, audition and conquer stage fright. Students focus on acting and character development through exercises, techniques, and improvisation Actors will develop a strong understanding of character development, acting techniques and monologues, as well as theatre etiquette. This class is all about being an actor. Code your own arcade game and design your own controller that works with it! The first half of this class will involve students coding their own old school arcade style game from scratch. Think something like Spade Invaders, Galaga, Pong and more! Then, well have the students work with Arduino UNOs & breadboards and use physical programming to wire their own controller to work with the game. Finally, students will design their very own case for their controller that we will print out using our 3D Printers! Come both physical and digital programming for this interactive class where students will be able to show off their games and controllers to friends and family! **Please note**: We have Arduino UNOs & breadboards for the students to use as their controllers for the duration of the class but they will need to be returned at the end. After the first few weeks of class, however, we will offer the option to order an Arduino Starter Kit ($99) for the students so that they will be able to work on their own units and take home with them. We always get asked if small clear comb jellies sting. The answer is no - instead of using stinging cells they use sticky cells and you cant get stuck unless you are a tiny planktonic animal. Lets explore these super-cool, glow in the dark, barely there jellies of the ocean. Lets have a floating race using only our fingers fluttering like cilia. Lets get sticky and capture our own food. Lets collect plankton (the comb jellys favorite food) with a plankton tow and look at it under a microscope. Lets go on a night beach walk and look for bioluminescence. (239) 472-8585
