Join us on Sunday, July 10th for a special one-hour Boot Camp Fitness Class to support New York Road Runners' (NYRR) Youth Programs, which serve over 200,000 students annually with free running and fitness experiences. During this special Boot Camp Fitness Class hosted by Michelle Stiglitz, you will sweat your way through a series of various exercise all to support a good cause. The class will be held outdoors in Clove Lakes park. We will meet promptly at 9:00am on the Martling Avenue Bridge (near the Staten Island Zoo parking lot) Please bring a mat or towel and a bottle of water. *All fitness levels are welcome to participate! To sign up for this fun morning of outdoor fitness, a minimum donation of $25 per person is required. Please be sure to arrive at least 15 minutes early. We will start promptly at 9:00 am. This is our largest fundraising event of the year. We rely on support of our community so that we can provide our services to everyone, regardless of income. On the weekend of October 14-16 it's officially ADULT SWIM at the Cathedral Domain. Camp Indian Summer is an opportunity for grown-up kids of all ages to leave their worries and responsibilties at the foot of the mountain and spend a few days being a kid again. Explore the streams, caves and forest trails on the 800 acre Cathedral Domain property located in the Daniel Boone National Forest. Relax on our decks and porches, beside the swimming pool, or around the campfire. Refresh your spirit with yoga classes, guided meditation, and creative worship. Time to get away and unplug from the hectic pace of life. This retreat is for youth in 8th grade through 12th grade. Fee is $100. For the first 10 to sign up, receive a $25 discount making it just $75 for a fun faith filled weekend! Camp TImber-lee is a wonderful facility with 600 acres of outdoor space, a toboggan hill and much more. A special band and speaker will engage our time of preparation for Holy week and Easter. Campers will learn to become confident writers! Practice makes perfect and campers will have fun writing! This camp offers instruction and practice in creative writing including: journaling, brainstorming strategies, short stories, poems, prompts and more. Campers will practice their writing skills and have fun doing so as they play word games, learn fun writing strategies and share their creative stories.
