Teen Conditioning Camp - Allison Park, PA
Teen Conditioning Camp will get kids (12-16) conditioned and ready to perform at a high level of physical ability for sports, recreation and fun!! Program is developed by Paul J. Stugart,M.S.,NASM-CPT, CF-L1, Master Trainer, Coach and Cheif Inspiration Officer. Your son or daughter will be challenged to improve fitness & function using ropes, bands, body weight, some weights, rowing, running and more. Each class will different and will structured to develop all aspects of conditioning. We will have team challenges, events, climb ropes, traverse on monkey bars and just overall have fun while conditioning the body. During our week long fitness and baseball camp, we are going to focus on baseball development, speedwork and other fitness fundamentals. We will be working in small groups and going into a lot of detail to really develop and improve the kids' techniques and playing ability. Each body conditioning segment will be dedicated to the improvement of sprint skills, techniques, and the development of power needed to run faster. Camp will be from July 11 - July 15, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM Daily, for kids age 9-12. NOTE: You must buy your tickets on Eventbrite to register!!
Youth Leadership Boot Camp - Muncie, IN
Youth Leadership Boot Camp, scheduled for June 13-17, is now accepting applications. The week-long intensive leadership camp, geared towards teens, will help prepare them to be leaders in their schools, families and communities.
Montgomery Alabama Stake Service Day at Camp Hulaco - Baileyton, AL
This is a "family friendly" service opportunity; however, much of the work is not suitable for young children. Scout troops and YM/YW are strongly encouraged to attend. Then sign up for the Fit & Fun Club where we will listen to upbeat music while we stretch, warm up, complete fun and funky routines, and cool down. Routines will vary each week and will include team building activities, yoga, core fitness, relay races, and/or light weight training. *Routines will be determined based on the abilities of the participants. Instructor Bio: Angela Howard My name is Angela Howard and I am a fourth grade teacher at Young Scholars of Central PA Charter School. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Penn State in 2011, I taught at Manchester Academic Charter School in Pittsburgh. Last August, I moved back to the State College area to begin a new chapter in my personal and professional life. This past summer, I earned my Masters of Education in Special Education at Walden University. In addition to teaching, I enjoy running each year in the Pittsburgh Half Marathon, Race for the Cure, Run or Dye, and other races to raise awareness for good causes. Join 2013 and 2014 State Champion coach Shawn Reid and Blake players for hours of skill development and fun. There will be 90 minutes of ice time each session followed by dryland training. In addition to hockey equipment, campers will need to bring tennis shoes. This camp is for players with hockey experience. 952-988-3463
CSI II - Crime Scenes Talk - United Faith Christian Academy
Campers will become advanced forensic scientists for the week! Campers will analyze and gather evidence for a number of fictitious crime scenes, use luminal and UV light to detect the presence of blood, complete a blood splatter analysis, take crime scene photographs, complete a drug and poison analysis. Campers will also gather insects as from our rotting carcass (pork chop) as they discover how CSIs use their entomology skills to determine time of death. Campers MUST bring an inexpensive digital camera to camp. Price includes a $25 lab fee. 7047743016.0
