LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Performance Evaluation - Northampton - STRIDES Human Performance Institue
A great way for youth athletes to see how they perform at skills related to the sports they play! Power, agility, speed, and strength are assessed to give kids a better understanding of how they can unlock their potential. Results are provided in a fashion that kids understand and motivate them to improve. STRIDES coaches are able to evaluate potential risk of injury and provide them with corrective exercise to reduce inure potential. These performance evaluations are conducted the 2nd Monday of each month at our Northampton and Amherst locations. There is no cost for these evaluations, but capacity is limited. (413) 586-5000

Since the Dallas Harvest Festival has been cancelled, we have moved our annual Craft Fair fundraiser to that Saturday, (Sept. 19th) cause folks like YOU will be looking for something else to do. Additionally we will be expanding to include a Flea Market! Come shop at the Craft Fair for gifts, home decor, handcrafted jewelry, wood crafts, and more. This year's event includes a flea market, bake sale, and a chili cook-off. The Snackshop will be open with some delicious lunch & dinner specials including our famous APPLE DUMPLINGS!-Get 'em while they last! Proceeds will benefit students attending Student Life Camp and/or the Fall Leadership Retreat.

SUNDAY MAY 15th at Osbourn High School football fields in Manassas 9:00-12:00 kids ages 4-15 Football agility drills,blocking,tackling techniques,running,kicking,speed and agility and much more !! $25 per child on site registration first come first served. IN CASE OF STEADY RAIN CAMP WILL BE RESCHEDULED FOR A LATER DATE. RULES: * $25 per child CASH ONLY no checks or credit cards *Parents will not be allowed on the fields but may watch from outside the fence. This is to insure crowd control and make sure the children can focus on the coaches. *No Refunds *All waivers must be completed and turned in before your child is allowed to enter the practice field. PARKING available at METZ or near the OHS practice field back entrance. * No abusive language towards volunteers coaches or staff. If this becomes a problem you will be asked to leave immediately. Crusader Flag Football - St. Johns Episcopal School
Join Coach Darnell to learn the great game of flag football. Learn more about the skills and techniques for all of your favorite football positions, practice drills and play in scrimmages and games to highlight your new skills. Session 1: Aug 8-12 * 7th-9th Grades - Icicle Creek Center for the Arts
7th-9th Grade film campers in are in for a fun and exciting hands-on introduction to the media arts in a beautiful natural setting. Start the week filming around the natural beauty of the Icicle Creek Campus, followed by two days of editing and post production. From concept to final cut, young filmmakers will experience each step of the creative process and experiment with new technologies. Campers will learn how to conduct a meaningful interview, handle a camera, set up a shot, record audio, and even shoot aerials from a drone. And once the footage is all gathered, of course, it all has to be organized and edited. By the end of the week, campers will have planned, shot and edited their own movie and well cap it all off with a family screening complete with popcorn! The PLAY group is for 4- 7 year old children needing social interaction. Come work on sensory exploration and floor play with a specialist in learning differences. Kids will enjoy interacting with one another, music, and game activities. Birds are beautiful and expressive animals that we can see and hear daily. Learning bird language opens up a whole new way of understanding our forests and what is happening around us. We will look for birds in the wild and visit the Wildlife Center for an educational program and close-up view of some beautiful raptors and other birds and mammals.
