LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Golf and So Much More - Half Day - South Germantown Driving Range
For kids who want to try golf but dont want to spend all day at it, this great combo camp will keep them happy and active all day! With the help of a Montgomery County Golf Academy instructor, all campers will practice putting, chipping, driving, and using irons and woods at the Driving Range (M-Th, 9am-Noon). On Friday, everyone will play 9 holes of golf at a nearby course, then full-day campers will head back for a final fun group activity. Afternoons for full-day campers will be filled with so much more: tennis, basketball, kick ball, mini-golf and water fun at SG Splash Playground. Dont want so much more? Sign up for half-day camp and concentrate on golf! Fee covers instruction, tees, Nike Golf® balls, and transportation Friday. Full-day campers will also receive a Nike Golf® hat and Papa Johns Pizza for lunch on Friday. Well provide clubs to kids who dont have them. This was the first time our daughter was going away for the summer and we were understandable cautious but optimistic. Doing the research on Brewster before signing up helped because there were so many positive reviews. I'm happy to report they lived up to those reviews in so many ways. I was especially impressed at how the counselors made it seem like every kid was a priority. This makes me wish I could go to summer camp! We'll be back next year!... Read More...

Ballet Camp - Cinderella - Germantown Friends School
Join the Cinderella Ballet Camp for a week filled with the joys of dance and music! Participants will read about and then recreate the magic of the Fairy Godmother, the pumpkin coach, and the glass slipper before journeying with Cinderella to the castle ball. Each day, Ballet Camp will begin with classical ballet instruction followed by activities such as ballet mime, performance games, and craft projects that will serve as props for the ballet. On the last day of camp, there will be a short recital, during which campers will perform a dance from Cinderella for parents and friends. Teaching our Cinderella Ballet Camp will be Fallon Gannon, who not only is a professional dancer with Ballet Fleming and Dance DelBello, but also is a very experienced dance instructor who has extensive experience teaching preschool and Kindergarten dancers in the Philadelphia area. Ballet Camp is a morning-only camp and participants may wish to stay for the all-new Junior Explorers/Explorers Day Camp or for the Computer Camp (for Kindergartners) during the afternoon session. Campers will try their hand at printing, felting, sewing, weaving, and dyeing with both natural + synthetic dyes, creating finished projects every week. Every day, campers venture on a field trip to the Textile Arts Center Manhattan to print, dye, sew, and on Weaving Wednesdays, campers work on looms to create their very own contemporary fabric.
