LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Farm to Table (ages 6-12) - Connolly Ranch
Brings your young epicureans enthusiasm for all things cooking back to the source of the ingredients: land, soil, seeds, animals, plants and more. Campers will explore how to grow and cook a farm-fresh meal from the ground up using ingredients that are in season and locally grown in the Napa Valley. After getting their hands dirty learning how animals, soil, water and the sun work together to produce food for our tables, kids will wash up and commence cooking. Nothing tastes better than a meal that is freshly harvested out of the ground. Each week, a local chef will visit to share knowledge about farm-to-table cooking. Parents are invited to join their campers on Friday afternoons to sample what their kids have learned that week. 707-224-1894

On April 30 & May 1st at Montpelier High School, individuals and organizations working for disability rights, racial justice, immigrant rights, climate justice and labor unions will come together for a weekend to share, learn and take action together. The organizers of the convention are working hard to make this an intergenerational event with a parallel Youth Activism Summit for teens, and a Kid’s Camp for children 12 and under. To make lasting and far reaching change we need the participation of Grandparents, Parents and their Children! The Kid’s Camp at the People’s Convention will not only provide quality childcare, but will be a fun space for kids to learn about and participate in creating a more just and vibrant world. The Skills and Drills clinic was designed by former NBA Players, David Wingate (founder of Bounce Back) and Micheal Britt (Britt-Quinn Enterprise). It is their flagship program. The skills and drills clinics combines a mentorship component with motivational talks along with clinics teaching ball handling, rebounding, defense and shooting. The clinics are taught by legendary players of their time (both former pro NBA and semi-pro players).
