Summer Camp - Half Day Morning - Week 7 - Mockingbird Baby
Morning: Robotic Golf Open Things on the golf course just arent the same since Lego Robotics have taken over! The holes having moving machines/obstacles and the par just keeps raising. Students will use their imagination and creativity to design and modify unique golf holes on most days. When students are not golfing, they are fighting for the most golf balls with Crabs in the sand trap and having a Golf Cart show down (maneuverability race and battle). Not only do you create your own golf course anew with different obstacles, but teams build and modify a Lego club too. On the last day, the 18th Hole, build a Hole-in-One Catapult! Go for a Hole-in-One! Go for the Robotic Golf Open! Note: Even though between some weekly sessions there might appear the same program names, in our actual education program, we will have different depth of technology and engineering principles to be applied by our children under our inspirational guidance... Feathers, Fur, and Scales - Vasona Lake County Park
Investigate different kinds of animals from head to toe and from the inside out. Learn how snakes slither and eat without chewing. Study one of natures greatest predators and understand the unique features that allow owls to see small objects in the dark and look behind themselves. Examine bones, fur, feathers, claws, teeth, scales, and skeletons to learn more about these and many other animal adaptations. Meet the YSI animal ambassadors and look for wild animals in the park to see how these adaptations help animals to survive in many different environments. 408-827-5507

CIT Retreat - Burnamwood Camp
This event is for any 9th - 12th Grader wishing to serve as a Counselor In Training for summer 2016. It will include leadership training, game leading, Bible Study, campfires and more. Camp begins at 1 p.m. Wednesday and ends at 4 p.m. Friday. 859-494-9113

09th 2016 Camp Buckaroo FALL BREAK 3 Day Camp - Blue Point Stables
This Camp is a 3 (Three) Day Buckaroo Fall Break Day Camp. Camp begins each day at 9:00 EST and ends at 4:00 pm in the afternoon. Campers will be assigned a horse to ride and to care for. In the larger enrollment classes, campers share assigned horses. Activities that the campers will be involved with are... Riding Lessons (generally twice a day, weather permitting) Grooming, Stall Care & Management, Equine Characteristics, Arts and Crafts and Horse Husbandry including some Horse Health and Welfare. Plus, making friends or renewing relationships with new and returning campers alike. Campers have the option to purchase and challenge the test for a CHA riding level. Campers receive the appropriate CHA Riding Level Book. Successful campers are awarded the appropriate Certificate, Patch and Pin. Campers falling below the testing standards are allowed to retest once for no additional charge. Day campers will need to bring appropriate clothing for each day, to include layered warm clothing on cool or cold days and rain gear when needed, as well as, their lunches, snacks and drinks for each day. Lego® StoryStarter II 2:30 - Mt. Bethel Elementary
Story telling was never this much fun! Utilizing the LEGO® StoryStarter set we will introduce students to the basic structures of a well-composed story (making this class a great language arts tool). At the same time we will also introduce them to the world of technology as we show them how to animate their stories in their very own graphic storybook. They will build their LEGO® story scenes and (using photo capture and editing tools) bring the story to life in print. We will create multiple storybooks in this class and each student will receive a DVD containing printable versions of all their creations to take home. In StoryStarter II we will have the same great fun but with all new story types and plots! We will delve further in the story telling process by emphasizing character development and 5 step story telling. You do NOT have to take the first class in order to take II. 770-826-0449
