Calling all cooks! Campers will spend the week harvesting, washing, grating, peeling, chopping, mixing and best of all – tasting! Our Small Chefs learn to become comfortable with following recipes and using kitchen utensils. They are also encouraged to throw out the recipes and follow their taste buds! Get Golf Ready is an intro to golf program for new, beginner and high handicapper golfers. GGR is designed to teach everything youll need to play golf in just a few lessons. Each session will focus on the various golf skills you will use while playing. In addition to learning the basics, you will be guided onto the golf course to put your skills into action in a casual, friendly setting. Through this program, participants will be introduced to golf in a comfortable setting that will enable participants to reap the benefits both on and off the golf course. Not only will participants experience the satisfaction of striking that first chip shot, particpants will also realize the health, professional and personal benefits, that are afforded by the game. This upbeat camp will incorporate learning both cheerleading and dance skills. Designed for grades K-5, this camp focuses on the basics of jumping, tumbling, chants, motion technique, dancing, and more! The camp will include a final performance to showcase their routine for family and friends. The Beginner Camp Experience is an excellent way to prepare for future full week sessions! This session is for those entering the first grade and exiting the third grade and will be limited to 125 campers. Kayak Fishing Camp - Week 5 - The Greenwell Foundation
Kayak Fishing Camp is for children ages 8 – 12 (by first day of camp session). This camp combines two of the favorite activities at camp – kayaking and fishing! The week begins with a lesson on the water learning kayaking skills with a certified instructor. The campers will then have two opportunities during the week to be on the water, combining these two skills – and hopefully catch some fish! With help from a member of the Maryland Saltwater Sport fishing Association (MSSA), campers will have on-land instruction learning how to tie lures, cast a line and what fish can be found in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Friday, the campers get to choose if they want to fish or go crabbing from the boat launch or fish from a kayak. In addition to all the fishing and kayaking, campers will also have the opportunity to do archery, field games, crafts and get wet with water games. Each afternoon, campers are provided an afternoon snack and each week a chance to make Smores. The week ends with Tye-Dye Friday for a take-home memory of the week at camp. The Details!
