The dates for this years camp are July 25 to 29 at Lakewood Retreat Center. It is going to be awesome in every way, especially if you come! Plus swimming, archery, crafts, human foosball and more! Peninsula Youth Theatre has just the way to shake up the vacation blues. Spend your break acting, creating skits and playing theater games as well as creating props and costumes. Jr. Robotics Engineer - Goleta Presbyterian Church
Entry-level robotics and programming. Campers learn robotics using LEGO® Education WeDo™. Our young creators build snapping alligators, race cars, talking birds, and spinning robots, attach sensors and motors, and then program their creations with the WeDo visual drag-and-drop programming software. Counselors guide and encourage exploration and trial and error field-testing. Instead of simply "snapping bricks together," campers are encouraged to think critically about how their robot design can be changed and to understand more complicated engineering techniques such as gear use, pulleys, and inclined planes. Participants in this course will learn the "basics" of child care. Topics will include engaging in age-appropriate activities, safety and security, handling emergency situations and how to manage those hard-earned dollars! Basic child care skills will include diapering, feeding and maintaining a safe environment. Students will learn how to properly administer CPR in a life-threatening emergency, such as choking.
