Haven Place Youth Summer Camp - New Haven, MI
Haven Place Youth Camp (July 31 thru Aug. 7). 7th-12th graders will be staying at Haven Place. Only $30.00 per person 8 days 7 nights. Registreation due by July 2oth. Last year we had 28 attend. Boys will be in tents outside with the adults on watch and the Ladies will be inside with the adult Ladies. They will be mentored by College age students who will be volunteering their time during the mission week. There will be at least four other key adults to chaperone this event. The week will consist of quiet time with the Lord, learning team building skills, sacrificial service to the community and learning to use their God given talents. There will be a praise and worship band, speaker and fun activities planned during the week. Each student will be going to various work sites. Each work site may have different projects, such as light construction, painting, clean up, landscaping, etc....In the afternoons students will be leading a community kids camp which will located at Haven Place. Summer Language Camp: Week 2 - Lyman Campus
SUMMER LANGUAGE CAMP: Ages: Girls and Boys Entering Grades 3 - 6 Dates: June 27-July 1 and August 1-5 Time: 9:00 am - 3:30 pm Format: Two, one week sessions Location: Laurels Lyman Campus in Shaker Heights Tuition: $400/session This camp is designed to introduce students to modern languages while they experience summer fun including cooking, sports, arts, sightseeing and field trips throughout the city – in the target language. Your child will be immersed in language, culture and pure fun in this camp led by Laurel World Languages faculty and counselors who are fluent in the language. Languages are offered in an immersion setting to give campers the foundation they need to enter a language class at their grade level. While cooking tapas, crepes or egg rolls, our students spontaneously use their target language to request flavors, colors, and what they like and dont like. Dynamite (USASF Levels 2) is one of our beginner teams. Developed as a junior novice/intermediate team, these athletes are 14 years and younger. Skills required include but are not limited to standing back handsprings, working multiples and round off backhandsprings. Our Spring Break Art Camps are modeled after our acclaimed Summer Art Camps. Each day, children participate in a variety of art activities including painting, drawing, hand-built ceramics, papermaking, and sculpture! Spring Break Art Camp staff is made up of youth art educators from the Indianapolis community. An instructor and assistant will lead each camp, where the instructor to camper ratio will not exceed 1 to 10 to ensure that each child receives individual attention. Spring Break Art Camp includes a one-hour supervised lunch, play and rest time.
