Get a head start on 6th grade math. We will review concepts needed for the beginning of the school year and beyond. We will go to the computer lab and use interactive programs. We will cover the large whiteboard with calculations. We will work in teams. We will use individual whiteboards. You will have the opportunity to practice math throughout the week and become confident in your math abilities. My son is at home at this camp!
My 12 year old son said he feels at home in this 4-H camp for youth ages 9 to 14. It has helped him become a leader, solve problems, increased his self-esteem, develop independent thinking skills and improved his communication skills. Fashion Design & Wearable Technology - Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta
Description: Generation Infocus invites tinkering girls and boys to participate in the fashion design/wearable technology STEAM studio to learn how Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics all can be used to transform the things we wear. This design-based studio will immerse students in the mathematical concepts surrounding garment engineering and how circuitry can be incorporated into clothing to make them light up! Students will learn the basics of hand and machine sewing to be equipped to engage in garment construction challenges such as creating a superhero themed e-textile cuff. This is the rescheduled date for the class that was supposed to be on January 23rd, but had to be cancelled due to inclement weather. 404-525-5561
